MISSION STATEMENT
Adopted: August 8, 1990
We, the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, Louisiana,
recognize that we are God's chosen people, saved by grace, empowered
by the Holy Spirit, bonded together with Christ and one another by
love, and called to obey Him by:
I. Participating in worshipping God
A. by coming with a spirit of expectation
and excitement
B. by singing His praises
C. by praying
D. by preaching the gospel
II. Making disciples
A. by proclaiming that Jesus
is the only way to eternal and abundant life
B. by being faithful in our
stewardship to local, home and foreign missions
III. Equipping disciples
A. by Bible study
B. by training
C. by discovering and using
spiritual gifts
D. by providing service opportunities
IV. Nurturing
A. by encouraging each other
B. by creating a loving fellowship
C. by supporting and including
unbelievers
V. Participating in ministering to individuals
and families
